A schoolboy in China has been causing a stir online with a blog depicting him behaving like a Communist Party official. Web users have been critical of the blog, and some are blamining China's state run media for influencing the boy into copying Communist Party cadres.

Huang Yibo is only 13 years old but, as shown in these photos posted on his blog, he’s already displaying the demeanor of a Communist Party official. The youngster is said to have started watching state-run Central China Television’s nightly news program when he was just 2 years old, and began reading newspapers at age 7.

According to state-run China Daily he has won awards such as "The Country's 100 Outstanding Juveniles” and is now the deputy chief of Wuhan city’s “Young Pioneers.” The Young Pioneers is one of the Communist organizations that groom children for eventual entry into the Communist Party.

Huang has drawn a lot of attention on the internet in recent weeks, with his blog attracting over 1.2-million hits. The blog features articles by Huang as well as pictures of him reading documents, caring for the elderly and posing for portrait style photos reminiscent of those of adult Communist Party officials.

The blog has attracted a storm of comments by web users, with many questioning why a child would be so interested in politics at a young age. Others call him fake or pretentious, blaming Huang’s current demeanor on the influence of state run media, the state education system and Huang’s parents.

One netizen writes, “China indeed has many talented children, but they’ve all been ruined by the media and parents like you!”

Another writes, “A two to three year old child should be watching cartoons.”
