How to hold a plectrum and how we use guitar picks to play the guitar can vary from person to person. Some of us hold plectrums in different ways, but if you are watching this then I have hopefully caught you before you develop and bad habits in your guitar playing. In this guitar lesson I'll show you a very quick method of holding a plectrum in the correct way. The great benefit with this is that you will never out grow this method of holding a pick. Some methods can start to hold you back as your playing gets better and you will need to learn how to re- adjust your fingers all over again. Years of playing on i have never needed to adapt the way I hold a plectrum, testament I think to how good this way of holding a pick is. Do bear in mind that it is my method and maybe not for everyone, try it and find out what works for you and then stick with it
