Some of the tips I would suggest whenever you're planning your wedding, and trying to book your wedding cake, go meet with the baker, do tasting, that's the fun part. Bring the fiance, let him try because that's the one thing he won't say no to. Go to a lot of different bakers, try a bunch of different people. You only do it once, so enjoy it!
Another thing to do is when you do go and meet with your bakers, bring examples of cakes you like. See if they're willing to do those kind of styles and if they're comfortable doing that. Pictures are wonderful for bakers, it really helps us get an idea of your style and your, what you're attracted to. Your invitations are really good thing to bring in, so we can see your style. And then the last thing is book your cake baker minimum of 6 month in advance. Sometimes you need even more time.
