How to Do Yoga Standing Forward Fold Pose - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. Hi, I'm Colleen and this is Brenna. We're at Bend Yoga Studio, and today we're going to show you Uttanasana, Standing Forward Fold. So Brenna's going to stand at the top of her mat with her feet slightly apart from one another. As she inhale she'll lift her hands up over her head, keeping her shoulder blades descending down her back. And as she exhales, she'll fold her Torso forward over her legs. As her hands come down, if she can comfortably reach the floor, her fingertips will touch the ground on either side of her feet. As she inhales, she'll lengthen her spine, lifting the shoulder blades onto the back. And with every exhale, she'll draw the navel towards the spine and fold more deeply over her legs, extending the crown of the head down towards the floor. She can stay here for 3 to 5 breaths, lifting the sitting bones high and dropping the heels down low.
