Shen Yun has returned to the Bay Area in California with its 2011 program.
San Jose Center for the Performing Arts and Sacramento.

Beverly Ziess enjoyed Shen Yun Performing Arts at the San Jose Center For The Performing Arts this weekend.

[Beverly Zeiss, Red Haute and Company Owner]:
“So I’m in awe. I’m just in awe. I bow down to them. I just think they’re fabulous. “

Shen Yun presents 5,000 years of Chinese culture, through Chinese classical dance.

[Beverly Zeiss, Red Haute and Company Owner]:
“I’ve got a pretty keen eye so I kind of sometimes look for mistakes. There was nothing, it was perfect. Absolutely perfect.”

Jose Esteves, the Mayor of Milpitas, was also at the show.

[Jose Esteves, Mayor of Milpitas, California]:
“I liked the message that they give away, like always do the good thing. And throughout the world there should be justice and equality so I liked that second part too, and the third part is Milpitas where I come from are mostly Asians, more than 50 percent Asians so because of that hopefully I have something to talk about, in Milpitas.”

[Dr. Marilyn Brock, Evergreen Valley College Acting Dean]:
“This is a really wonderful way to bring past culture and dancing and music and all of that back, so that everyone in the world gets a chance to look at it and see it.”

Shen Yun is performing one more show in San Jose on Sunday afternoon.

[Michael Borghetti, Tax Preparation Business Owner]:
“There’s no way you can miss this show, you have to be here to feel it. It’s a different show, it’s not a singing show, it’s not a competition show, it just calms you down. It makes you realize the things that you can appreciate in life.”
