Religious Leader Killed in Explosion in Srinigar, India

A Muslim cleric has been killed in an explosion near a mosque in Srinagar, capital of India's Jammu and Kashmir state. Several others were injured by the blast, which occurred as people gathered at the mosque for Friday prayers.
[Salim Ansari, Local Resident]:
"I was sitting at door waiting for the cleric so that he could start the prayer. But at the same time the explosion happened. It caused a stampede. Now I have heard that the cleric is injured."
The cleric, Moulvi Showkat Shah, chief of Jamiat-Ahle-Hadis, died in the hospital. He was believed to be the main target of the attack.
