U.S. launches criminal investigation into privacy lapses in official

Pandora Media has received a subpoena in connection with a U.S. criminal investigation into suspected privacy lapses in the applications that run on Apple (AAPL) and Google (GOOG) smartphones. Pandora says the probe is industry-wide and covers "numerous other smartphone applications" and "the information sharing processes of certain popular applications."
