MEMORIES IN MARCH (2010) directed by Sanjay Nag is based on the story by Rituparno Ghosh of a divorced mother, Aarti’s (Deepti Naval) visit to Kolkata after hearing news of her only son’s death in an accident there, to collect his personal belongings. During her four days stay in Kolkata, she meets her son’s colleague Sahana (Raima Sen) and Arnab (Rituporno Ghosh) and comes to know her son Siddarth alias Sid alias Babu was gay and in a relationship with Arnab, and also other angles of Sid’s life.
