Every sci-fi stereotype and cliché is present in this German space movie and that’s what makes it so much fun to watch. Considering this isn’t a big budget Hollywood movie, the special effects are spectacular.
Over the centuries, the first space colonies have grown into giant empires, each battling for supremacy whilst the death toll has risen to the billions. Rick Walker, a former fighter pilot turned disillusioned freelance flyer, is hired to transport Cynthia Perkins, a mysterious woman who claims to be a special ambassador, to the site of a secret peace negotiation.
On their way, they are ambushed by a group of attack fighters and are forced to crash land on a remote planet called NYDENION. Their journey to the peace negotiations becomes a fight against time and against an enemy from within.
The movie owes something to all the popular space operas, STAR WARS, STAR TREK, and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. It has jaded renegade pilots, compassionate captains, well-dressed treacherous leaders, beautiful androids, speculative future tech and massive space battles. Gotta love it!
