STORY: PAKISTAN-INDIA CRICKET DIPLOMACY DATELINE: March 28, 2011 LENGTH:0:01:02 LOCATION: Islamabad ( INTRO The Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is to travel to India to watch a cricket World Cup match between the two South Asian nations. Many believe Gilani's visit could improve the climate ahead of peace talks planned for July. PKG Gilani's visit came following an invitation by the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday. Leaders of the two countries are expected to watch the hotly contested World Cup semi-final to be played in the northern Indian town of Mohali on Wednesday. Gilani's visit comes as the two old rivals are nudging along a fragile peace process. The two countries have fought three wars over disputed borders and only recently have been slowly trying to repair relations. The so-called "cricket diplomacy" between the two countries is nothing new. In 2005, Pakistan's then ruler Pervez Musharraf travelled to India to watch a similar match.
