Nikos Deja Vu - Lee Hazlewood - Boots

"Boots" or "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'"
is a song written and musically composed by Lee Hazlewood for Nancy Sinatra.

It was released in February 1966 and hit #1 in the United States and United Kingdom Pop charts.

The song was adopted by troops in the Vietnam War when they marched. It was used on the soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (1987).

Goodyear Tire and Rubber used portions of the song for its 1960s' ad campaign promoting its "wide boots" tires.

Megadeth covered the song on their 1985 debut album "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!"

Jessica Simpson recorded her own version of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" (and added her own lyrics)
for the soundtrack to the film The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). Simpson's cover was co-produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and was released as the soundtrack's first single in 2005). It became Simpson's fifth top-twenty single in the United States and its music video drew some controversy because of its sexual imagery.

    (Watch carefully the plot)
I suppose not many of you all have ever seen it!

    The original lyrics:

You keep saying you got something for me
Something you call love but confess
    You've been a-messin' where you shouldn't a-been a-messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best

Well, these boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you

You keep playing where you shouldn't be playing
And you keep thinking that you'll never get burned
I've just found me a brand new box of matches
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn

Well, these boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you
