Take a tour of Ostrog Monastery in Montenegro – part of the World’s Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.

Built into the sheer rocky cliff face in Montenegro is the Serb Orthodox Church, Orstrog Monastery.
This sacred structure is Montenegro's primary pilgrimage site, and is dedicated to Saint Basel of Ostrog.
In 1923, the majority of this structure was rebuilt after a fire ravaged all but its main features; two small cave churches, one of which holds the remains of the monastery's patron.
The immaculate white wash which covers part of this edifice creates clean lines and stands out brilliant against the gray-red rock.
The other part of this structure features skillful stonework and artful frescoes as well as superbly crafted balconies providing a pristine view of the outlying plain.
This massive yet angelic structure has withstood its share of disaster and is well deserving of the praise and notoriety it enjoys.
