Sakhalin is my hometown and I have lots of relatives there. Everytime I talk with them and constantly keeping an eye on the situation how things are going on there.
The situation with air tickets described in the video is not true. The air tickets is not just available, they are all already sold. People trying to escape to the mainland of Russia. Yesterday I spoke with my relatives there they told me this. Also people in the Sakhalin are worrying because there haven't been any public appearance of local aгthorities since the first day of the tragedy in Japan.
There is still no clear information where the Sakhalin governor Mr. Horoshavin and mayor of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk city Lobkin could be.
People are worrying that local authorities just fled the island and left them to the mercy of fate.
