The chip in the credit cards is an RFID low radio frequency chip. If you wrap your bank cards in tin foil it will create a protective shielding to keep low frequency radio waves out. So the next time some scammer comes up to you on the L or w/e and tries to electronically steal your credit cards you'll be protected. You can also go to your local pnc branch (if that's your bank) and request a none RFID chip card. They'll give you run around (which is what they did to me) for a while.
