    Getting to Know the National Kidney Foundation

    There are over 110,000 people waiting for a life-saving organ transplant and every month, the number of Americans waiting for kidney transplants increases. More than 26 million Americans over age 20 have chronic kidney disease, over 526,000 Americans are currently receiving treatment for kidney failure, and about 83,000 patients are awaiting kidney transplants. Community Health Charities invited long-time National Kidney Foundation volunteer and former board member, Bill Singleton to talk about his experience as a living kidney donor and his work as a volunteer.
