Markus Uhl is the master of dick-weed cinema. With the Musick-All film he has set new benchmarks of unwatchability and physical pain inflicted upon the viewer. In a recent paper entitle 'What's in a Wang: M. Night Shyamalan and the problems with Christian cinema', F. Gorb Hoovenballs has argued that the film has an internal logic: "Uhl's Musick-all only makes sense if it is read as a Kantian remake of Shyamalan's The Last Assbender [sic.]" (2011, 325). Uhl may well have won over the academics, but they're all perverts anyway. Will wider audiences put up with the sexual abuse? We'll find out when the film sees general release in April.
