Consumer Products Earnings: Clorox, Fortune Brands official

Clorox (CLX) posted fiscal second-quarter net earnings today of $21 million, or $0.15 per share, compared to $110 million, or $0.77 per share, in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings of $0.68 per share were well ahead of analyst expectations, although sales, which decline 3% to $1.18 billion, were just shy of forecasts.
