Matt Bellamy of award winning band Muse has spoken out about impending fatherhood with Hollywood star Kate Hudson.

Bellamy and Hudson met at the Coachella music festival last Summer and the actress is now pregnant with his first child.

At the NME Awards 2011, the British rocker admitted that the pregancy was a shock. He said: "It was a lovely surprise, yeah very nice."

Bellamy went on to add that they couple were going to wait until the birth to find out the sex of the baby.

The Grammy winner went on to say that he would not be naming the baby after legendary rockstar Dave Grohl.

Hudson already has a seven-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband, rock musician Chris Robinson.
