CARLOS LICHMAN’ complex shredding has been a central part of the progressive but powerful and thrash edge often attributed to his work's trademark sound since his first band in 1996. He’s been responsible for some of the most awe-inspiring riffs modern metal has ever heard. Taking the classic techniques, he learned from listening to legends like Jason Becker, Marty Friedman and Yngwie Malmsteen as a teen and applying his own ingenuity, Lichman has carved his own niche and created an instantly recognizable style.

Working as solo artist since 2003, LICHMAN has developed his own style towards Shred Metal music, using elements from other styles as Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal and even Rock music. CARLOS released his debut album FIRESTORM in 2007 (Two times Top Seller on Guitar 9 Records) causing a significant impression throughout the world over the past three years. A few months later, CARLOS LICHMAN started a Brazilian tour as support act for the Pablo Soler (guitar legend from Argentina) in some of the main cities in the country building a fan base for all over the country. Receiving important reviews from national and international web zines and magazines, considered one of the most critically acclaimed musicians in instrumental metal, CARLOS borrows from all aspects of heavy music to form the perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting, traditional heavy metal and the sheer savagery of metal's extreme genres.

To promote GENOCIDE, CARLOS LICHMAN was the support act for Richie Kotzen’s gig in Porto Alegre city in April 2010 and began GENOCIDE promo tour in the many cities of Rio Grande do Sul state.
