    John Edward Mack, M.D. (October 4, 1929--September 27, 2004) was an American psychiatrist, writer, and professor at Harvard Medical School. He was a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, and a leading authority on the spiritual or transformational effects of alleged alien abduction experiences.
    He wrote the following books: Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens, Passport to the Cosmos: Human Transformation and Alien Encounters, A Prince of Our Disorder: The Life of T.E. Lawrence, Borderline States in Psychiatry - Seminars in Psychiatry, Nightmares and Human Conflict, and Development and Sustenance of Self-Esteem in Childhood. He wrote the introduction to The PK Man: A True Story of Mind Over Matter. He was an editor of: Mind Before Matter: Vision of a New Science of Consciousness and Human Feelings.
