Channel 5 are said to be close to agreeing a deal with Endemol to bring Big Brother back to TV.
The reality series celebrated its final run on Channel 4 last year, which also marked the tenth anniversary of the show.
Channel 5 owner, Richard Desmond, is reportedly only a matter of weeks away from signing a contract to revive the series, in a bid to boost ratings.
It is thought Davina McCall could return as the host and the spin-off series, Big Brother's Little Brother, may also run.
The format will not change, however It is expected to be a smaller scale production and it is reported that contestants may be kept in the house longer than the previous 13 week stay.
