Baume & Mercier brings Hamptons Style Glamour to the SIHH 2011 GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – TUESDAY JANUARY 18 2011: A-list Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow reveals why the Hamptons have a special place in her heart on the opening day of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva. The event got off to a glamorous start last night with luxury watchmaker Baume & Mercier hosting an exclusive event attended by the likes of Gwyneth, Vincent Perez and Thomas Kretschmann. American actress and star of hit series Entourage, Emmanuelle Chrigui speaks of making the last ever season of Entourage and her controversial favourite of the Golden Globe winners - The Kings Speech. Golden Globes were the buzz on everyone's lips as German Hollywood actors Thomas Kretschmann and Vincent Perez give their thoughts on winning film The Social Network, and Vincent reveals what he'll be working on this year including a film with Gerard Depardieu. Swiss supermodel and actress Xenia Tchoumitcheva also reveals the new project she’s working on, an Italian film set for worldwide release. This year Baume & Mercier have chosen to exhibit their sought after collection at the SIHH in a custom made ‘Hamptons’ house. 950 guests were invited to a spectacular garden party on the custom made beach – specially built for the event using 75 tonnes of sand and 800 square metres of grass. The 21st Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (International Fair of Fine Luxury Watchmaking) is held from January 17th to 21st 2011 in Palexpo, Geneva. This private trade fair is a landmark event for the fine watch sector, and at this year’s show 19 watch brands will present their new products, including Baume & Mercier, IWC, Cartier and Mont Blanc. Not only does it attract 12,500 international retailers, journalists and brand representatives, but also some of the world’s biggest celebrities.
