Shen Yun Performing Arts contnues its 10-show run at Lincoln Center in New York. Our correspondent caught up with the winner of last year's violin competition who shared his thoughts about the show.

NTD’s 2010 International Chinese Violin Competition winner Corin Lee was among the audience at Shen Yun Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in New York.

[Corin Lee, Violinist]:
“Visually it was amazing seeing all the colors.”

He enjoyed the contemporary performances about the persecution of the Falun Gong spiritual group in Mainland China.

[Corin Lee, Violinist]:
“Some of the acts were very powerful, because they made a statement about China. It made me reflect about freedom and democracy.”

His friend enjoyed the Shen Yun orchestra.

[Fan Yongliang, Violinist]:
“Chinese and Western instruments combined, [it] feels like there are two different flavors together. [It] feels very good.”
