Homeless man's radio voice bags job offers

A homeless man's radio voice has turned him into an overnight sensation and lucrative job offers have started pouring in.

53-year-old Ted Williams was standing next to the interstate-71 in Ohio with a sign telling motorists he has a ''God-given voice'', when he was spotted by a local newspaper reporter.

A clip of him in action was then posted online and it has changed his life.

Mr Williams previously hit hard times after getting hooked on drugs and alcohol. Now his mother Julia hopes his luck has changed.

She said: "I hope this will be the thing for him. He's come from a nice family, then he went poor, poor, so maybe this will build him up."

While for Ted the success is a dream come true: "I just said hey, I can't be an actor, I can't be an on-air personality, but the voice just became something of a development over the years and I went to school for it and then alcohol and drugs and a few other things became a part of my life, and I got two years clean."

He now has interest from the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and NFL Films about possible work.
