It's a troubling welcome to the New Year in Yingjiang, China where close to 100 tremors have destroyed thousands of houses since New Year's Day. So far the quakes are relatively minor, and there are no reported injuries.
Media reports Wednesday say 92 tremors have rattled Yingjiang County in southwest China's Yunnan Province over the past three days.
Around 142,000 people have been affected, with more than 8,000 houses damaged by Tuesday morning.
[Jin Mifang, Local Resident]:
"I don't have a house to live in anymore. I don't know where to stay."
So far there are no reports of casualties.
Primary and middle schools in the county have all been closed but are due to reopen on Thursday.
Aftershocks are still being felt in the region.
Yingjiang is located along a seismic belt, and was hit hard by the devastating earthquake in 2008 that killed nearly 90,000 people.
