Los Angeles Galaxy are reportedly open to the idea of David Beckham's proposed loan deal but only if certain financial terms are met.
Beckham is keen to return to Europe during the Major League Soccer close season with a view to proving to England manager Fabio Capello he deserves a recall to the national side.
The former England captain has asked his American bosses to sanction the deal but so far there has been no official statement from the US franchise.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has made no secret of his desire to bring Beckham back to England in a temporary move similar to the deals which have twice seen him play short spells for AC Milan.
It has not been made clear what the LA club's financial demands are but they are likely to be linked to Beckham's considerable wage packet.
Potential compensation packages may figure too. The former Manchester United star sustained an Achilles injury that ruled him out of the beginning of the last MLS season when on loan at the San Siro last winter.
