Arranged marriages are traditionally the products of patriarchal societies in which children are expected to dutifully obey their father's wishes. We meet a Turkish-German couple who found the courage to defy parental expectations.A German girl and a Turkish boy met as teenagers and fell in love. But his parents were against the match and forced their son to go to Turkey and marry a Turkish woman. At the time he wasn't brave enough to disobey. Now, decades later, the former teenage sweethearts have been reunited.
