Ewan McGregor has reportedly been the target of a disturbing poetic death threat written by a fellow actor on the set of new film The Impossible.
An American actor, who was used as Ewan's stand-in, is said to have composed a verse about wanting to kill the Scottish actor.
The letter reportedly told how he wanted to face the Trainspotting actor and included the line: "...Twisting the knife as I look into your eyes".
A member of the production crew told The Sun: "The actor was told he would not be needed for a week and he would be called when it was time.
"He was not called. He looked a little wide-eyed and pre-occupied. The producers decided that he was a serious risk."
Producers are said to have delayed filming and have ensured that the threatening actor does not return to the set in Thailand, where Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts are shooting scenes for the film based on the 2004 Tsunami.
McGregor's agent was unavailable for comment at time of print as the office is closed for the Christmas holidays.
