Graduation. The day college students and their parents look forward to most. But for one school in Jakarta, it wasn't just students that were recognized. Our correspondents explain.

Indonesia’s Bina Sarana Informatika University is being recognized for having the most students graduate from any college in Indonesia. 8,500 students got their degrees on Sunday at the Jakarta Convention Center. And the university is being recognized by Indonesia’s World Record Museum.

[Jaya Suprana, Chairman, Indonesian World Record Museum]:
"Today’s record is special, because every year, BSI University maintains its extraordinary spirit, and strives to improve its performance."

To break the record, students from the university’s 24 campuses all came to Jakarta.

[Naba Aji Notoseputro, Bina Sarana Informatika (BSI) Chairman]:
"No university in Indonesia has ever graduated so many college students at once, so we are trying to bring this information to the museum of records. Today is our second record. Last year we had 8,300 graduates, now we have broken the record again with 8,500 graduates."
