Louis Jordan was a jump jazz musician and Godfather of rhythm & blues. This singer/sax man was hugely popular during the 1940's and an inspiration to a number of the legends of 1950's r&b. James Brown has cited watching “soundies”, early music videos that played between films in theaters, as an early influence. Here we present part two of performances culled from the film Reet Petite and Gone. Highlighted by the song & dance number Wham Sam. Go cat go!!
