Guitar Shorty is a man who was there at the birth at the birth of blues and soul music in the 1950’s. Before he was 21 he had played with Ray Charles, Willie Dixon, Guitar Slim, T Bone Walker, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard and Sam Cooke. Later he got married and his new brother in law was Jimi Hendrix. Over the years he has recorded a ton of lps and at Chicago BluesFest 2010 he put on one hell of a show.
