After returning to the Philippines, world boxing champion and congressman Manny Pacquiao has expressed his desire to continue his boxing career.
Amid whispers that the Filipino boxer would be retiring after his difficult fight with Mexican boxer Antonio Margarito, Pacquiao confirmed during his visit with President Benigno Aquino III that he will continue to fight.
He said he will only take a short break to focus on serving as a congressman before going back to the ring.
"I want you to know that I will not be retiring anytime soon, maybe a few more fights.
"Since I just finished my fight with Margarito, let's forget boxing for a while and focus on serving the people."
He continued: "As congressman, it is my duty to do my job right for my fellow men. especially those in my district."
