Orgasmic voting video causes anger in Spain

A campaign video by the youth wing of the Catalan Socialist Party is attemting to turn on young electors to the pleasures of voting by comparing it to sex.

The video shows a young woman who is so excited by casting her ballot that she has an orgasm in front of a group of bemused polling officers.

The campaign hopes to encourage abstaining young voters to turn out for the Socialists in upcoming elections in the Spanish region but the video has caused outrage amongst conservative groups.

The Catalan nationalist Convergence and Union coalition condemned the video as "filth" and the conservative People's party accused the young socialists of "using women and attacking their dignity", Spanish broadcaster has TVE reported.
