General Motors Marks a Milestone at its North Hollywood Advanced Design Center From concept cars to everyday vehicles, the North Hollywood Advanced Design Center has played a vital role in some of the most notable automotive designs in the last decade. Since opening its doors in January of 2000, the center has continued a tradition of innovation by marrying the essence of the past with the trends of the future. The design team includes designers from the United States, England, France, Germany, Finland, Italy, Korea and Iraq and has won the prestigious L.A. Design Challenge three of the last six years. They’ve also worked closely with such acclaimed Hollywood personalities as director Michael Bay on the “Transformers” movie series and talk show host Jay Leno on custom creations. Other highly acclaimed projects include GM’s EN-V concept vehicle, the Chevrolet SS concept car. The anniversary celebration will culminate with the global debut of a Cadillac concept vehicle, which will be displayed at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
