A Shanghai skyscraper has caught fire killing at least five people and injuring dozens more, according to China's state media.
Amateur video broadcast on CCTV showed the blaze engulfing the 30-storey building.
Xinhau reports witnesses saying scaffolding caught fire, before spreading throughout the building, which was being renovated.
Thick smoke pouring from the building could be seen across the Shanghai skyline.
One report said some people were seen jumping from the windows of the high-rise apartment complex to escape.
