Tom Hanks showed his support for the returning chat show host Conan O'Brien by appearing on the star's second show on new channel, TBS.
Talking about his close relationship with Conan, Hanks stoked the crowd in chanting his nickname for the famous TV face as in unison the audience chanted Coco.
Always game for some slapstick comedy, Hanks finished the interview with a set-piece about cartoon whales swimming in the backdrop of the stage that eventually saw the Academy Award winner covered in water.
Despite the famous face on the sofa, the new incarnation of the show lost a third of it's audience for the second show.
Critics have put this down to O'Brien's constant jokes and bitterness over being dropped by NBC before his move to TBS.
