Singer Fergie looked stunning in a red Zac Posen dress at Glamour Magazine's 20th Annual Women of the Year gala in New York City.
Kate Hudson presented the Black Eyed Peas star with an award for her activism with breast cancer awareness and AIDS research.
The actress explained why she's fond of Fergie:
"She's just full of life, you know, and she's real. So then you kind of have this fabulous stage presence and you have this girl whose just sort of fun and a girl's girl and has all the same insecurities as we all do and she's just a real girl."
Julia Roberts and Donatella Versace also received recognition for their charity work
Singer Cher took home Glamour's Lifetime Achievement Award and spoke of her new movie Burlesque, which also stars Christina Aguilera.
"Christina is really sweet and I think she's good in this film and she worked herself to death. I never saw anybody work so hard", she said.
The Glamour Women of the Year gala presents awards to ten women from entertainment, business, sports, fashion, and politics.
