Dannii Minogue reacts to X Factor uproar

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has spoken of her feelings about Sunday night's eviction, where fellow judge Cheryl Cole did not cast a vote.

Dannii said it was a "tough competition this year", and that she thought she had voted for the best singer between bottom two Treyc Cohen and Katie Waissel.

Cheryl Cole refused to vote between the two acts as she had mentored them both, and the vote was instead decided between the three remaining judges - Dannii Minogue, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

Minogue pointed out that acts such as Diana Vickers and JLS, who did not win the competition in previous series, have gone on to do "amazing things", and that she had similar hopes for evicted contestant Treyc.

Dannii mentors the boys category on the current series of the talent show, and said if she was put in a similar situation to Cole she would probably do the same thing.
