Italy travel: Yes, Pompeii had a brothel. In fact, the guide book says there were 25 such houses. Our Perillo Tours guide suggested that the pictures above the doors were a menu, of sorts, depicting the various services available. (Not as interesting as it might sound.) Much more interesting was the next section we visited, where another former resident of Pompeii was displayed in his final agonizing position.
