Girls Aloud chart battle: Cheryl vs Nadine

Cheryl Cole's new single Promise This has become the fastest selling non-charity single of 2010.

The X Factor judge sold over 157 thousand copies of the track this week and beat Rihanna's comback track, Only Girl In The World, to the number one spot.

Meanwhile Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle releases her debut solo single, Insatiable, today.

The pair, who are rumoured to have fallen out recently, are often compared to each other having both chosen solo careers.

But 25-year-old Nadine says it does not bother her: "It's just because I think we were in a band together for so long. It's no big deal. As long as it's all done in good fun, there's no harm to it."
