Indonesia Tsunami Kills 154, Hundreds Missing

A powerful tsunami hit a remote island in western Indonesia Monday. The death toll has risen to 154, with 502 people still missing.

The tsunami was triggered by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that hit about 50 miles west of the island of South Pagai.

The Macaronis surfing resort on North Pagai Island was also hit and has been forced to close.
