Louis and Cheryl in X Factor war

X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole are said to be 'at war' after a series of altercations on the show.

Last week on the show Louis declared 'it's not all about you Cheryl' when his fellow judge questioned his opinions on Katie Waissel and on this week's show the pair had an awkward exchange over contestant Aiden Grimshaw.

After judging Aiden's performance, Louis then talked over Cheryl's comments and branded the 27 year old 'too old' to understand his references to Aiden being a poster boy.

Cheryl is alleged to have complained about Louis to Simon and accused him of bullying her.

The dispute has spilled out of the show with Louis describing the Girls Aloud singer as "trashy with a fake tan" in an interview and Cheryl branding him "a silly old man looking for attention."

Meanwhile, contestant Matt Cardle is the current bookies favourite to win after his closing performance of 'Just The Way You Are' on last night's show.

X Factor continues this evening with another double eviction.
