Steve Carrell's new animation hits cinemas this week.

Comedian Steve voices the character of aspiring baddie Gru, who tells his minions about their new mission to steal the moon.

But when Gru uses three orphan girls as pawns for his grand scheme, he finds himself changed by the growing love between them.

Steve is joined by an all-star cast in this new Universal animation with Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews and Miranda Cosgrove also lending their voices.

When the film opened in the States over the summer, it took $56.3 million, making it the third biggest opening grossing for an animated film in 2010, behind Toy Story 3 and Shrek Forever After.
