Reports claim the singer at the centre of the X Factor controversy may not only be out of competition, but also forced to leave the country.

Thousands of fans of the ITV talent show complained after Gamu Nhengu failed to make Cheryl Cole's final three contestants.

It was rumoured the Zimbabwean singer could be given a second chance with a wild card place in the live final.

But it is now claimed the 18-year-old has been told by show bosses that she is out of the competition for good. It comes amid reports that her mum's visa application has been refused.

It is feared Gamu and her family, who live in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, may now have to go back to Zimbabwe.
