In this 1974 recording, Cuban pianist Jorge Bolet (1914-1990) performs Liszt's 1846 transcription of "Die Forelle" by Franz Schubert. I created this video from the LP depicted above, "Franz Liszt's Greatest Hits of the 1850s," issued on the RCA label in 1974, serial number LSC-3259.

The Library of Congress online catalog entry for this recording is available here: http://lccn.loc.gov/77752957

A review of this and other tracks on this LP in the June, 1974 edition of Gramophone Magazine is available here: http://www.gramophone.net/Issue/Page/June%201974/81/762012

In addition to Die Forelle, tracks on this LP include:

Reminiscences of Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti); Concert paraphrase on Rigoletto (Verdi); Serenade (Hark! Hark! The Lark, Schubert) Spinning chorus from the Flying Dutchman (Wagner); Meine Freuden and Mädchens Wunsch (Chopin); and Widmung and Frühlingsnacht (Schumann).
