Porcupine fish, as adults, have very few enemies. Only the larger sharks are capable of handling this fish that can inflate its body to beach ball size. Additionally, it's body is covered with sharp quills making it a pin cushioned torment for its hunters. During breeding season, the normally shy and reclusive porcupine fish can become aggressive in protecting their young. Here, two porcupine fish charge at divers who inadvertently approach too close to their den.
