If our world is to have a chance of remaining livable in ways to which we are accustomed, we must find the will and courage to change our politics and our lifestyles.

David Orr is an environmental educator and a pioneer in the construction of sustainable buildings on college campuses. He heads the Environmental Studies program at Oberlin College and has now embarked on the creation of a fully sustainable region in central Ohio.
