Emmys host Jimmy Fallon has ceremoniously rolled out the red carpet ahead of Sunday's glitzy awards bash.
Musical comedy series Glee is expected to clean up with a whopping 19 nominations. It is up against three-time winner 30 Rock for the coveted Best Comedy Series gong.
Two-time winner Mad Men is out in front in the drama category with 17 nominations, but faces a challenge from cult sci-fi favourite Lost, and serial killer drama Dexter.
The backstage team is preparing to host 3,500 people at the event, including the hottest television stars of the moment, the likes of Tina Fey, Al Pacino and the cast of Glee.
The awards take place in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
