Britney Spears is not only having her music featured on an episode of Glee, but the singer will also make a cameo appearance too.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show in the States, the show's creator Ryan Murphy said: "Britney, I think 100%, is going to be on the episode. She is going to come and do a couple of scenes."

He explained that Britney's music will feature in a fantasy sequence which comes about when the characters go to the dentist and are put under anaesthetic!

Murphy, who recently directed the Julia Robert's film Eat Pray Love, also revealed that the movie's other star, Javier Bardem, has asked to appear on the show as a "weird Spanish rock and roll star."

Susan Boyle and Sir Paul McCartney are also rumoured to be featuring in the new series of Glee, which follows the lives of a high school choir.
