Javier Bardem has got back to work after marrying Penelope Cruz in the Bahamas last month.

The Spanish actor stepped out on the red carpet on Tuesday night at the New York premiere of his new film Eat, Pray, Love. He stars as Julia Roberts love intest in the big-screen adaptation of the best-selling book by the same name.

It is the story of a moden woman who has everything she desires but finds herself stuck in an unhappy marriage. In a bid to turn her life around she gets a divorces and sets off around the world.

Julia Roberts reportedly put over 10 pounds during filming, and she blames all the good food she ate on location in Italy.

"Probably the spaghetti. I think so," she said.

The 42-year-old added: "It was delicious the first you know, three bowls. And from there it was like wow, ok."
